NARS Matte Multiple in Exumas; Feels Like in the Bahamas

Meet the newest item in my collection;
the NARS Matte Multiple in Exumas as part of NARS matte multiple family. Price wise? You know NARS. Satisfaction level: maximum. I can say that I am so in love with this newbie.

NARS Matte Multiple comes in 3 brown shades for contouring and 4 pop shades for blush and lip tint. What I love about NARS is because they always named their products with a very interesting geographical names, either world's cities, lakes, name of countries, gulf, cape and even those pervert names such as Sex Machine or Deep Throat (sorry, this is so age-restricted post :D) Since my fave school's subject was geography, so I can exactly guess what's behind each of NARS' product name and found it very attractive.

Thanks to Cafe Make Up, for giving us the pretty swatches. Above is the complete NARS Matte Multiple collections and below is the swatches from the four pop shades; Anguilla, Exumas, Laos and Siam. Very pretty names, aren't they?

I initially wanted to try on Laos, because the rosy shade looks really tempting. However, I remember that I already owned two rosy shades (MAC Autoerotique and Sleek Rose Gold) and lack of peachy shades. I eventually picked Exumas, which name was taken from the group of islands in the Bahamas. I thought the name reminds me of summer, exactly similar with our season right now (minus the beaches in Jakarta).

I purchased at Strawberrynet.com when they had a promo and good deal. It is sold at USD 39 at NARS website. It consists of 7,5gr of product, quite small for a blush (and I wish I wouldn't finish it too soon). The color looks two times darker in the stick, yet very subtle when applied. Here is the swatch on the back of my hand, before and after blended.

The color is corally peach, not too pink nor orange. The result is amazing, I wear this from morning 7am and I can still see my cheeks glow at 3pm! I feel like being in the beach in the hot sunny Jakarta.

I can't believe that I am really impressed with this tiny product. The texture is easy to blend, and it's matte, so it fits my super oily skin and doesn't make me oilier at all! It doesn't accentuate my large pores and the most important thing is the fact that it doesn't have shimmer and glitters, but glow! The more hours you wear this, the more natural it looks.

This photo is taken at 1pm in the hot and sunny afternoon and after having outdoor activities, and moreover I applied this blush at 7am in the morning! My face looks dewy, and I am sure that I will use this blush until te last swipe, too, likey other NARS products.

How about you? Which shade is your favorite from the NARS Matte Multiple range?

See you in my next post ~xoxo

Matte Lipstick Madness #1: Australis Velourlips in Doo-Bai

I feel ashamed when I saw the last update I made to this blog was December 2014.

Yes, pardon me for not being a consistent beauty blogger and probably the laziest in town. However, during my absence, don't ask me how many stuff I tried and bought to discover my make up journey. Tons of new shades of foundation (and ended up reselling items that didn't suit me), a few powders, and a couple of matte lipsticks slash lip cream.

These matte lipsticks are now really in the hype. Two-three years ago, I started to fall in love with Make Up Forever Aqua Rouge Lip Cream even though the price was more expensive than even the regular MAC best-selling lipsticks. Yet, nowadays, the matte lip creams come in hundreds color: from nudes to bolds, from neutrals to pops. It comes in a fair price to the doesn't-make-any-sense one. It's like 2015 trend, and begun with Lime Crime Velvetines series that were launched mid last year, which according to me, very disappointing and doesn't live up to the hype at all.

And my effort to discover the matte lip creams continued. One of my colleagues, when having a business trip to Sydney, successfully bought me this gem; Australis Velourlips Matte Lip Cream. I heard that this brand only available in Australia, and I was curious to try one of its shades. I initially wanted to try on Buda-Pash (yes their names were inspired from exotic cities in all over the world but with 'slang' spelling) the dark red that recently being loved by all women in the universe, but, consider its wearability, I ended up picking Doo-Bai instead. I found it's a really pretty shade, which is not real red but not too wine nor cherry.

It just looks like an ordinary dark red in the tube. But wait until I swatch it on the back of my hand. These Velourlips come in fabulous shades such as Tok-io (bright purple), Pa-Ree (nude beige), Bar-Tha-Lo-Na (bright pink-based red), Shang-Hi (bright fuchsia), Ro-Ma (baby pink) which really compliments the fair skinned girls, and many more.

Now you can see how different Doo-Bai when swatched and in the tube. You can see the touch of wine there, not purple, not pink. I just super loooove this. I am really bored with pink-based red, the most common red shades sold in Indonesia. The color payoff is good, and buildable. Here I only swatched 1 layer, and it can be deep red if I swatch some more layers. Like this:

That's exactly how it looks on lips, with two layers. It makes my lips look fuller and plumper. With the price of around AUD 10 (around IDR 100,000), this is the best matte lip cream I have ever worn. The formula is super soft, application is easy and not patchy, though you must be careful to fill up your lips with this kind of color, because once it goes out of the lip line, you have to prepare your oil-baded remover to vanish the stain! On the other side, that means the staying power is incredible. And it's not smudging and fading like I experienced with Lime Crime.  It doesnt' dry out my lips, too, which is awesome considering its low price. In Indonesia, you can get it at several online stores at around IDR 175.000-IDR 200.000.

My complete look wearing this shade. Details are: NARS single eye shadow in fez and ABh dipbrow pomade in dark brown for eyes, MUFE hd foundation no. 160 and Bobbi Brown sheer pressed powder in warm natural as base, NARS matte multiple in exumas for cheeks and Australis velourlips in doo-bai on lips. And I am ready-set-go for this weekend!

Please leave your comments and follow my account for upcoming reviews. I will be posting this Matte Lip Cream Madness series for two or three more from other brands. Stay tune! -xoxo-

[REVIEW] Sephora Creamy Lip Stain in #4 Endless Purple

Hello, ladies!

I once had obsession for dark vampy red lipstick, and you might have read my review on Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick in Cherry Bomb.

Yet, I still feel incomplete if I am not having purple lipstick in my purse. After I finished my NARS Tonkin (I know, it broke my bank like crazy but only lasted for 3 months...what!?? Now you see that I loved it too much).

When I attended the opening Sephora Indonesia event at Plaza Indonesia last month, I decided to give a shot to another vampy lipstick, named Sephora Creamy Lip Stain in Endless Purple.

The color is so intense and opaque. The stain power is awesome, even after rubbing my hand really hard, the stain stays

In terms of packaging and texture, it reminds me a lot to NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream. The idea is almost the same. A lip cream that glides so easily on lips and dries to matte finish. But I would say that this Sephora Creamy Lip Stain will give a super opaque and super matte in one swipe application. Be careful in applying as it easily goes out from your lipline. Perhaps a lip liner could help to create a 'frame' before you painting your lips with this baby.

PROS (+)
> Glides on very easily. The texture is creamier than NYX SMLC
> Long lasting? It is! I don't have to touch up for whole day. The stain left after lunch is still considerably pretty.
> Opaque color that nothing beats!
> It's not as drying as NYX SLMC. As with NYX, I found my lips a bit streaky after more than 4 hours. This one is not.
> The color is so intense and suits any skin tone. I would say, my lips will just stand out even if I am not wearing anything else on face.
> Easy to get (you now can grab this by run to Sephora store, not necessarily fly to Singapore :p)

CONS (-)
> Compare to NYX SLMC, you may feel this one's quite pricey (IDR 230ish)
> May not suitable for daily and natural make up. You got to have guts ;)

Pigmenation and easy application. This lip stain steals my heart like never before

Other than that, I think this one is currently my most favorite. I just need to be careful wearing this to office by not putting a heavy eye make up. Should you interested in other colour, try no. 1 (classic red, for retro 60s look) and no. 2 (nude beige, for any-occassion mood).

See you in my next review!

~XOXO~

[Review] MUFE Rouge Artist Intense #1 Mat Flesh: It's matte like no other!

Hello, ladies!

Recently I love to play with the bold and smokey-eye make up. To balance out my look, I have to temporarily say goodbye to those intense and dark lipsticks. I checked my beauty case and realized that I still have my favorite nude matte lipstick from Make Up Forever (MUFE), even it's only 1/5 left on the tube. I bought it in May 2013, and when it almost finished, I kept it back on my beauty case because I loved it too much and still wanted to use this if necessary.

MUFE Rouge Artist Intense has pretty high rate in Make Up Alley. It comes in 50 wide ranged of shades from the #1 (mat flesh) to #50 (satin black). Each lipstick named based on what texture and finish it will create. For example, if the finish is matte, then the name will be 'mat flesh', 'mat orange pink', 'mat pink' and so on. If the finish is satin, you can see it from the name of 'satin light taupe' or 'satin rosewood'. If the finish is pearly, the name will also consist with it -- 'pearly mauve', 'pearly plum', etc. Let me tell you that the matte lipsticks are very intense and long wearing. I've tried my friend's in #8 mat bright red, and the color stayed until the end of the day, without too much fading. And I also needed oil-based make up remover to take it off.

Since I am a fan of matte ones, I picked #1 mat flesh and I was kinda worried if the color washed me out. Once I tried and applied, no. The color looks fine for my NC35/NW30 medium skin. It didn't wash me out at all. It softened and balanced out my bold eye make up successfully.

What is it?

Formulated with 50% more pigment than the traditional lipstick, Rouge Artist Intense gives an immediate true-to-color result. A blend of three natural waxes, the creamy texture glides on effortlessly for a long-lasting hold. The extensive color and texture range provides unlimited creativity.

My take on the product:

Hello matte fans, all your desires and expectations on how matte lipsticks should be is now come true! This product is true to its claim. The pigmentation is superb, and the endurance is wow. Even for this lightest shade, the color stays until 6 hours without getting streaky and too much accentuate fine lines. The color is perfectly nude, it's not too pink nor too orange. The texture is stiff, almost like crayon, but I found it's not difficult to apply though (maybe for darker ones, the application can be a bit uneven). Also, if you have dry lips, you may need to apply lip balm underneath, otherwise you may find it to be too drying and your lips can get chapped. But for me, I love, super love, a truly matte finish :)

Rating:

  • Product: 4 out of 5
  • Packaging: 4 out of 5
  • Quality: 4 out of 5
  • Overall: 4 out of 5
  • Would I buy again? yes, but perhaps will buy #3 mat caramel this time
  • Price:   $21, last year it costs idr 275.000. not sure if it's more expensive now.

Have you tried this lipstick before? ~xoxo~

How to Contour Cheeks with Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher in Santal

Hello beauties,

Late night, no football match, I had a quick sleep and awake when my hubby came home after he was caught in traffic for 3,5 hours. Right now I lost my appetite to go back to sleep (hell, unlikely). So, let's begin the review of my new baby. New baby that I just bought last week and I am so in love with it!

Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher comes in many shades. These baked blush are so pigmented and provide long lasting finish. I had one before in shade Tomette, a beautiful terracotta shade that compliments my medium warm skin. When considering buying this baby, I was looking for a blush for contouring purpose, as I feel a little bit chubbier lately (don't ask me whether I am gaining more weight or not, I have no guts to walk into the scale, seriously). I need something that can magically slimming down my face. I eventually picked Santal, in English it means Sandalwood.

As you can see in the picture above, this little round pot blusher is quite pricey (around USD 13), but, I never had any doubt on the quality and how cute and sturdy the packaging is, Plus, there's a brush and mirror inside. The brush is small, but the bristle is short and dense. It is just perfect to create a contour under the cheekbones. The color is soooo versatile. You can see in my swatch below that even it looks a little bit dark in the pan, it will give a nice glowing bronze-y flush on my cheeks.

My take on this product:
  • Sturdy and all-in-one packaging. Mess-free.
  • Pigmentation is great
  • Good staying power up to 12 hours
  • It has shimmer but barely seen in application. What you see is only subtle glowing flush.
  • It comes with many shades that will suit from light to darker skin
  • The price is a little pricey for a drugstore product
  • It has rosy scent. For those who are allergic to scented make up probably would not like it. But I don't mind at all :)
My overall score of this product is 4.4/5.0

FOTD

Wet 'n Wild Megalast Lip Colour in Cherry Bomb: Because the Dark Lipstick is 'In'

Since last month I feel like going out from my comfort zone:
it's my mattened-nude-beige-lips.

I saw a lot of MUA, beauty bloggers (inside and outside) who are promoting the dark vampy lips. Admit that I am so tempted to try. In my younger times, I never touch this kind of lipstick (neither the bright pink neon one), because dark lips make me look too mature. But life is changing now.

At first I was thinking to buy Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Lip in shade Wicked, as the color is so bold burgundy red and it provides super matte finish. It has a doe-foot applicator and so far I found that it's perfect to evenly apply a liquid lipstick. But, I am almost broke had a tight budget here! This month, I have bought couple of cosmetics (and apparently dissatisfied with two out of six items, but yeah, life goes on) so I need to fasten my belt a little bit. This month, my daughter will be celebrating her 3rd birthday at school so you can imagine how much money that I will spend :D

Hmm..let's find a dupe then. If not, let's find a drugstore cheap lipstick to fulfill this desire.

I was googling hard and bumped into this Wet n Wild Megalast series. Well, at first I wasn't so sure that the color payoff and the intensity would look great, but I thought I would not go wrong with idr 55,000 lipstick, and I found that Mimo is selling them at the lowest price.

My take on the product:

Wet 'n Wild Megalast Lipstick comes in a wide variety of shades. I remember that I owned this already in shade Rosebud. I underestimated this lipstick but I was totally wrong. It's color payoff, consistency and level of comfort on lips are similar with Nyx Matte Lipstick. And Nyx's costs 1,5 times higher that Wet 'n Wild.

This shade's called Cherry Bomb. It's a truly cherry red but slight pinkier, leaning to burgundy red. What I did not expect from this lipstick is the intensity. It's nearly perfect. It's matte, doesn't smudge on lips at all (even in some MAC Matte's, they smudge!). Staying power is superb, for 6 hours without eating, and will leave a pretty dark red stain after eating, which still looks okay.

For the packaging, you will got what you pay. It comes with black plastic tube with clear cap. Looks so cheap, huh? Haha...I actually don't really mind with that, but one thing that I concern is the packaging makes it difficult for us to avoid messiness, as the cap will easily scratch the lipstick because half of it is outside the tube.

For me, this is the darkest color I have purchased. Previously I have tried OCC Liptar in Black Dahlia (it's a lot darker and winier than this), but the difficult application of OCC Liptar compeletely turned me off! It wasn't reflect the money spent as it was quite expensive (originally sold for around 20 usd). I eventually sold it to someone else.

My rate for this product is 4.5/5.0

I just can't believe that Wet 'n Wild Cherry Bomb possesses some qualities that the high-end lipsticks have. Admit that I don't feel luxurious when wearing this, but as a starter, I am giving this the highest rate of the history since I began to write a beauty blog. I am so in love with it.

For those who wanna see the full variety of Wet n' Wild products, you can visit here.

See you on my nest post. Sneak peek: the BB cream & pact from Tony Moly, my most favorite Korean make up brand. Stay tuned. ~xoxo~

Etude House Rosy Tint Lips #7 Tea Rose: Pretty but Sticky

I guess I am now in my active phase for blogging.

Three posts within a week. Even this week is yet to finish. So, I probably will post some more. Just be prepared :D

This time, a lipstick. Well, not exactly a lipstick though, some say it's more like a lipstain. They claim this range as liquid creamy lipstain that dries in matte velvet finish. This is my first Korean product that listed in my lipstick stash.

At first I was very attracted with the packaging and color selections. So cute, feel like in the middle of the blooming roses somewhere outhere. But our parents always said not to judge the book by its cover.

I chose the shade #7 Tea Rose, simply because I am a fan of nude lipstick. Tea Rose is the most neutral shade of all. It has a slight peachy brown undertone and looks wearable on any occasion.

So, even though shade #8 After blossom is the most favorite, I insisted to buy Tea rose instead. See the swatches picture above, don't you think Tea rose is pweety? Alright, let's start my review:

PACKAGING 4.0/5.0

Beautiful. Even the box looks stunningly elegant. I love the combination of white and pink flowers. However, the tube is quite hard to press so it needs effort to squeeze the product out from tube. It also has weakness on the sponge tip, if you are considering for hygiene, it definitely will turn you off.

The oh-so-pretty box...

...and overall packaging.

SHADE 3.5/5.0

The shade is a little disappointment. It washed me out! At first I was confused on how this lovely peachy color could wash me out. I am even regularly applying Make Up Forever Rouge Artist #1 Mat Flesh which is super pale, but it doesn't wash me out at all.

MUFE Rouge Artist Intense #1 Mat Flesh

CONSISTENCY 3.0/5.0

Gosh, I was expecting more for this creamy lipstain, but I ended up thinking that the consistency is way too creamy to blend out. I even felt it more on sticky side. Meh.

Swatch

Didn't you see that even the swatch looks uneven on the back of my hand? It's worse on lips, and it accentuates the dry patches.

FINISH 2.5/5.0

Nevertheless, besides the uneven consistency and the color that successfully washed me out, this lipstain also dries out my lips, right after application. I know, I probably need to apply lip balm underneath or scrub my lip first to make it smoother, but that's not what you supposed to do before applying a matte finish lipstick/lipstain because it wouldn't give you the real matte effect. So, I would say NO to this. I only used it 1x, I even could not sell this as preloved because the sponge tip applicator is not hygienic at all. After all, I think this product would just sit on my make up case forever. ~xoxo~

I am sorry Etude, you failed me this time :(

My MAC's Haul: A Birthday Self-Present

Ladies, how are you?

It's been a while since I published my last post. I have been quite busy since the first day of January. Details? Better not. You wouldn't wanna hear about the baby's thingy, how difficult I was struggling for her weaning process and how cranky she was in a couple of weeks after I stopped breastfeed her. Thanks God it's over now. Last weekend, we managed to go to Singapore for a family vacation. And MAC is a must-buy items when we visiting Changi Airport, yes because the price is even slightly cheaper than in Indonesia.  Actually, I only had time to shop at the airport since the 4 days of vacation were full with activities for kiddo. I also bought this a a self-made birthday present (ssst, I'll be in the last year of twentysomething in the next few days!)

Sooo, let's jump to the best part!

These are my additional MAC stuff after possessed the Select Sheer Compact Powder that I bought from the www.strawberrynet.com a couple of months ago. I was thinking, as an Asian, my skin would be most likely categorized in NC section instead of NW. NC means Neutral Cool, which is the best for yellow-toned skin like almost Asian and Chinese. Meanwhile, NW stands for Neutral Warm. It better describes the Caucasian skin, which has a lot of pink/red undertone. But, the lady in MAC Counter told me different way.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid #NW30 - SGD 43

She firstly tried the #NC40 on me. I know, some people would think that my skin is suitable for #NC40, that medium-tan yellow-based shade, but the SA said: "No, Ma'am...your skin has a more beige tone so this is too yellow for you. Yellow shades, if it doesn't fit the skin correctly, will make face turn into greyish after long hours of application." Ow! I've never known that before. But one thing for sure, I always looked for a pink/red based concealer to hide some imperfection on my face because the yellow-based liquid foundation never succeeded to cover the acne marks and dark spots on my skin perfectly, even if I applied the second or third layer. Maybe, the SA was just saying right.

Thus, she applied the #NW30 on me, because the #NW40 is way too dark and could make myself turn into red. "See? This color looks more natural and I could barely see it contrast to your neck color. It suits you. I'll recommend you to buy this shade." I saw my face in the mirror. Yes, I could see my original face color, with more even tone, and the best thing: it didn't look cakey or heavy at all.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid is the permanent range of MAC Foundation and it is suitable for oily-combination skin. I see that the texture is quite a lot similar with Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation, with almost similar waxy scent, too. I am not sensitive with overpowering scent so I don't mind with this. The SA said that the best way applying this is with the brush/stippling brush. But I don't have one yet (I have many things to consider before buying brushes/beauty blender, since I used to apply foundation with fingers all the time). For me, using fingers is simple and more efficient. This foundation stays on my skin during the day from morning until evening. It doesn't make my face oily and greasy, and I only need to blot once in the evening to keep my face fresh. Enough said, I think the price fairly shows the quality. Although this product doesn't blow me away, but I am happy with the finish and its staying power. Plus, it has the very wide range of shades so it must be easy for someone to get the rightest color, unlike Revlon Colorstay.

At the SGD 43 price tag, I will rate this with 3.8/5.0

MAC Extra Dimension Blush in Autoerotique - SGD 35

MAC Autoerotique is one of the shades from Magnetic Nude range that launched in 2013. I saw the review at my most favorite beauty blogger Karen's site. The SA recommended me to pick Autoerotique color instead of At Dusk and Pleasure Model. I'll tell you why.

Autoerotique is best described as dusky rose with super soft satin finish. No shimmer, not glittery (who wants a glittery blush anyway if I have these gigantic pores around the nose? LOL) The color is not too attractive in pan, but I am so happy I bought this because it is pretty on cheeks. Not too pink, just a perfect rosy. It suits to any skin tones because the color isn't overpowering, so it's easy to determine how bold you want to apply this on the apple of your cheeks. Most of my blushes are also more on orangy and corally sides, so yes I am officially glad that now I have the rosy one. The best part is, it stays on your face like forever! I put it in my morning routine, around 6 am, and the color still shows when I arrived home at 9 pm. So far, only the Illamasqua Blush that can do this.

I am rating this with 3.9/5.0

MAC Matte Lipstick in Chilli - SGD 25
Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick. ~Gwyneth Paltrow~
Yes, I currently surprisingly crazy in love with red lippies! After the nudes and chocolate era, now I never bored hunting for that kick-ass red lipstick, like Gwyneth said. I already have one red lipstick, the iconic  Anna Sui Lip Rouge V, but the color isn't true red, it's leaning towards a bold framboise with dark fuchsia hue on my lips. So, I asked the SA about one red lipstick that has warmer undertone, to match with my earthy make up look daily. She gave me MAC Matte Lipstick in Chilli.

At first sight, I thought it was a meh. What kind of brick red color is that? I am not fan of brick red color, as it only make my face looks darker. But, when swatched on lips, this color is much better than it looks. It is a real chilli red with orange hue, not to bold for my medium skin, yet it brighten up my face. Seriously, it does. It has a truly matte finish, but not too drying. For the staying power, I can say it's a little bit shorter than my MUFE matte / aqua rouge lipstick, around 6-7 hours and one time lunch it will fade. After that, you need to re-apply. But for a matte lipstick, it is more important for the lipstick to be able to hydrate your lips rather than just giving a long staying effect but drying out the lips like crazy. As for the color, I am in love. Totally in love.

My rate is 4.1/5.0

Picture below is my overall look after wearing those new stuff.
See you again in my next post, bye! ~xoxo~

TGIF and I'm Going Retro

Thanks God It's Friday!

This morning, I accidentally found a nice chiffon blue shirt with polka-dot pattern on my sister's closet.

Without telling her, I immediately wear it (hey, it's kind of revenge actually, because she wore one of my shirts last time without permission, haha :D) FYI, my sister lives in Bandung. She's on her 3rd grade studying at Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), majoring Industrial Engineering. We have a huge age gap -- 9 years -- but fortunately she is my only sister (and sibling!) so no matter how annoying she could be, I still love her and so does she :* and I hope she wouldn't love me less just because I 'stole' her shirt.

I love the shirt because it has kind of retro style. So, I suddenly thought that I should wear a retro make up, too. Moreover, I just had my hair curled from the digital perm last month.

Polka-dot and wavy hair? Oh I feel so 80's!

Here's my today's look

Going retro with silvery eye shadow and nude matte lipstick

Apparently, still not gone too far from my signature l

And for my FOTD, I am wearing:
  • Caring Colors Stay True Foundation in #3 Natural Glow (I'll review later, it's one of good local products)
  • VOV Cover Foundation in Light Brown (wear it as concealer to cover heavy acne marks)
  • MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder NC30
  • Urban Decay Dangerous Eye Palette in Mushroom (see the review of this palette here)
  • Silkygirl Double Intense Gel Eyeliner in Dark Brown (another underrated drugstore product. love it!)
  • Revlon Eye Brow Pencil in Brown
  • NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna (another list to review, soon! ^.~)
  • Make Up Forever Rouge Artist Intense in #1 Mat Flesh (trust me, this nude matte lipstick is the winner!)

See you again in the next review!
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Year End Wish: Shu Uemura Lip and Cheek Tint in Heroine Rose

"What makes a woman looks beautiful?
A clear luminous skin from within, and the red lips that shades
 like a rose."

Please note that the above quote is just created by myself, not Marylin Monroe :D But I am quite serious when saying it. As a woman in late 20s, I fully aware that having a luminous skin is something too good to be true, especially to know that I have an acne-prone and oily-combination skin at the same time that always makes my face looks dull and uneven if I am not wearing any make up. And note that I was born with medium skin. Not fair. It's a total medium that even if I am using whitening products, I would look more weird because of color inconsistency between face and body. Thus, let's jump into the alternative; a lips that shades like a rose. This clearly looks more feasible for me :)

My addiction to make up has been established from long time ago, but it just keeps growing wild until now. At the moment, as a huge fan of matte lipstick, I am still looking for the best lipstick that stay all day on lips without fading. I just reviewed MUFE Aqua Rouge series and in that review, I mentioned that I am planning to buy MUFE Aqua Rouge in Pink #15 or Raspberry #10. Unfortunately, the USD rate hikes these months until it reaches IDR 12,000. Scary, huh? Buying some expensive stuff equal committing suicide.Better not, better wait until hopefully, everything back to normal (though I am not sure it will until the presidential election's done next year).

Okay. So I randomly saw a review on While You On Earth about the Shu Uemura's Takashi Murakami Princess Collection. some weeks ago, WOW! I am so impressed with the lip and cheek tint because it looks like a PERFECT rosy pink for me. For your information, I am a big fan of neutral/brown lipstick and feel so confident wearing those colors. I tried to find a good pink lipstick, but until now, none of them could replace my neutral lipstick at heart. They're either too bright and contrast to my skin, or even sometimes too ashy.

When I finished reading the review, I smiled. There's a chance, never been a better chance, to get it for FREE. I was rushing to open this giveaway contest and couldn't wait to participate very soon!

I knew Shu Uemura since long time ago, probably when I was around 11-12 years old, they opened their store in Indonesia. I saw that the color selections are very light and unique, from the lightest blue eyeshadow to the yellow lipstick. At that time I said; what? As a high end brand, I didn't manage to look for it. But as I grew up, I knew that this Japanese brand has a specific customers and has an amazing quality in their products, not only cosmetics but also its skin care. Well, you really got what you pay.

This Shu Uemura's Takashi Murakami Princess Collection has a beautiful artsy packaging which blew my mind. My curiosity continues and I keep on searching for other review.

Heroine Rose is one of the 5 shades available. There are Dream Pink, Fuchsia Fun-tasy, Princess Coral, Magical Red and Heroine Rose, which I found that the most suitable color for my skin is the latest one.

Shu Uemura claims that it provides benefit such as:
  • Hybrid Pigments - advanced technology to bring brightness and fidelity of color to the lips.
  • Dual Shimmer Complex - multiple pearls and shimmers help achieve various shine effects.
  • Aqua Soft Pump - leaves lips hydrated and comfortable.

Some reviews said that, although it has a texture like lip gloss, but it's more like a lip cream, it stains all day with matte finish. Another plus for me, since i have been longing to find a perfect matte lipstick that could leave a beautiful stain until the day ends.

With IDR 325,000 as price tag, I will definitely think twice to buy this with my own cost. Simply because the most expensive lipstick I've ever purchased is the Make Up Forever Aqua Rouge but it was still under IDR 300,000 (and I just bought a new one two weeks ago). It just doesn't make any sense if I have to buy another high end lipstick at the moment :( Oh, how I want this so BAD!

PS. I got this new year's eve party invitation from a friend and that would be SO PERFECT if this lip and cheek tint could be mine. Its long lasting stain would complement my make up all through the night.^.~ xoxo

Carnellin, please do make my wish come true ;)
